Become a Volunteer

 

Our volunteers are busy people with the passion to help our students achieve great things! You can find our volunteers helping in classrooms, in booster clubs, speaking in classes and even on the playground! There is a volunteer opportunity for everyone; just let us know what your interests are, and we’ll match you with the perfect job! 

 

 

In accordance with Pennsylvania law, each volunteer must complete clearances. It is recommended that you obtain your clearances as a first step to enable you to quickly move forward in the process. After obtaining clearances, all interested volunteers must fill out the Volunteer Application via the online portal. 

Required Clearances:

Below you will find the links to obtain clearances. All clearances must be uploaded when completing the volunteer application. Clearances are valid for 5-years -- existing valid clearances may be submitted in lieu of new clearances.

1) PA State Police Clearance:

2) Child Abuse Clearance:

  • The online Child Abuse Clearance site requires you to create an account by creating your own Keystone ID.

3) FBI Clearance

  • If you have lived in the state of Pennsylvania for the past 10 consecutive years, you are not required to complete an FBI clearance, but will be required to complete the Disclosure Statement for Volunteers, which is found on the volunteer application.

4) TB Test:

Only required if you volunteer 10 or more hours per week.  Your test results must be uploaded when completing the Request to Volunteer form. If the results of the TB test are positive, a chest x-ray will be required to provide negative results to be eligible to volunteer. The test must be completed no more than 3-months prior to being submitted to the district.
