Health Care & Nursing Services
At the Lebanon School District, nursing services are provided in all school buildings. Along with caring for student and faculty illnesses and emergencies, school nurses are responsible for the following tasks:
- Maintaining health and immunization records on all students
- Performing state-mandated health screenings
- Administering doctor prescribed medications
- Performing nursing procedures
- Assisting physicians and dentists with school examinations
- Providing health counseling and referrals
- Providing classroom instruction on health-related topics
The school health care system strives to deliver comprehensive care to promote each student’s optimal level of physical, mental, emotional and social well-being. We believe that healthy students have a greater opportunity to become academically successful.
