How to use Google Takeout to Move Your Data Files to a Personal Account.

You can export and download your data and files from any Google products you use, like your Google Drive, prior to leaving Lebanon SD. In a few easy steps, create an archive for your records and access these through your personal Google Account.

Sign into a computer and access your Lebcedars Google Drive. Open a new tab and search for Google TakeOut or click on the link.

On the screen that appears, select all of the products you want to take with you.

Make sure you select your Google Drive. Once done, click “Next Step” at the bottom of the page.

In the Customize Archive Format menu that appears, keep these defaults the same. You will want a one-time archive in a zipped format. Click, “Create archive” at the bottom of the page. The time needed to create the archive will depend on how much information you have in your Drive.

Once done, download the .zip file archive to your desktop, and double click the .zip file to unzip it. A “Takeout” folder will appear containing your Google files and folders.

From this point, you will need to access a personal Google account. Log into this account and go to your personal Google Drive. If you don’t have a personal Google account already, they are free, and you can create one at https://accounts.google.com/signup.

You can now drag the contents of the Takeout folder to your new Google Drive account. The time needed to upload these documents depends on how much content you need to transfer.
